Modern classic pieces are often a big challenge. It is about understanding the original design and respecting the master designer. With repairs we need to find the same original materials. As former Director of Vitra Home, I had the opportunities to work extensively with celebrated modern industrial designers, with the Frank Loyd Wright Foundation and with The Ray and Charles Eames Office; all offered valuable insights into understanding these classics.
